Large hardware retailers found that a great number of their clients needed cut-down sizes from the standard sheet size. The customers often required the same, easier-to-transport sizes for their smaller projects. Extra time and overhead were expended to custom-cut these sizes, creating waste or unusable pieces of stock.
Solution
Cutler Forest Products developed the Handy Panel Program to provide pre-cut standard commodity sheet products such as melamine, plywood and M.D.F. in a range of standardized sizes, making them convenient and easy-to-transport for their small project customers.
Results
Our Handy Panel Program has been a great success. By carrying our convenient Handy Panels, our customers have in turn provided enhanced convenience to their customers, while reducing time, overhead and wastage associated with cutting. Our Handy Panels are currently available through Home Depot and selected Home Hardware stores. |
